General information
The microregion of Radbuza is located in Plzeň region, in the western part of the region Plzeň - south. It has been established in March 1999 due to the mutual interest in solving questions arising in certain municipalities of the microregion. The area of 480sq km is of a rural character with a couple of smaller towns with nearly 36000 inhabitants. It is a natural subregion along the Radbuza river, where its name originates. It consists of 27 member municipalities. Important transportation thoroughfares cross this area: the motorway D5, the main railway from Plzeň to Schwandorf and the airport Líně. Nowadays the region has a lot of semi-finished but also finished common projects. The most important are the reconstruction of the holy place in Křížový vrch, construction of a system for special and bulk cargo trash yards, providing all member municipalities with computing technique and public Internet, desewerage and cleaning of sewerage water in the Radbuza basin.
